2008-2009 Concert Season


Stony Brook's jazz ensembles cover the spectrum from small acoustic groups, to electrified fusion/funk combos, to big band. Performance repertoire encompasses the entire history of jazz and includes premieres of new compositions by students and the director of jazz studies, Ray Anderson.

Jazz combos get in the spring spirit with a free outdoor performance in the Staller Center plaza. Relax, stretch out on the grass, and listen to Ray Anderson and special guests. Alternative weather venue – Recital Hall.
