 IEC PROGRAM - SUMMER SESSION

Students have the option of attending:

Track 1: Full-time for 20 - 25 hours per week (core and elective courses). No TOEFL score required for admission.

Students who want to matriculate in the University as graduate or undergraduate students must be able to place in and successfully complete the advanced level of the IEC
    summer program in Track 1.

Track 2: Part-time for 15 hours per week (core classes only). No TOEFL score required for admission.
*For permanent residents or US citizens who do not need a visa to study.

Track 3: Part-time for 15 hours per week (core and elective courses plus one University course for 3 credits). Applicants must have 530 TOEFL score (197 CBT). This is recommended for students who wish to take courses at Stony Brook for the summer only and do not intend to apply for a degree program. Please see the University's Summer Session for a detailed course schedule and e-mail your choice to the IEC.

NOTE: Students who require an I-20 for an F-1 student visa to come to Stony Brook can only take Track 1 or Track 3 (if they fulfill the above TOEFL requirement).
